William C. Prather

Mr. Prather earned his Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia with Major in Risk Management and Insurance. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.

Mr. Prather concentrates his practice on the areas of civil litigation and insurance defense, business law, insurance law, health law, and governmental/regulatory affairs. He has been representing insurance companies and/or their insured in state and federal courts since 1984. Mr. Prather has also served as the Director of Legal Services for the largest domestic insurer in Georgia (and its subsidiaries) where he oversaw all legal aspects of two insurance companies and a premium finance company, including product development and compliance. Mr. Prather enjoys an active governmental and regulatory affairs practice representing local and national business interests before Georgia’s legislature and administrative agencies.

Mr. Prather’s involvement in professional, civic and charitable organizations have included active roles in the American Bar Association, the Georgia Bar Association, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, and United Way. He has also enjoyed serving as an adjunct professor and instructor of business law and insurance law.
