Biography

Jonathan A. Alderman is an attorney at the Anderson, Walker & Reichert, LLP, firm located in Macon, Georgia. Estate planning, estate administration, will and trust drafting, contract and prenuptial agreement drafting, adoption, incorporation, business guidance, and charitable organization representation are all within Mr. Alderman's scope of practice. He has also handled cases involving commercial/contract law, real estate, insurance defense, and personal injury.

Born in Evansville, Indiana, Jonathan A. Alderman spent his formative years in Cochran, Georgia, where his father served as president of Middle Georgia College and his grandfather, Lucian A. Whipple, for 75 years practiced law before retiring at age 97. In 1981, he graduated with an associate's degree from Middle Georgia College, and in 1983, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Georgia with honors and membership in Phi Beta Kappa. In 1986, he graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia with honors, and he first started working with Anderson, Walker & Reichert back in 1986.

Mr. Alderman married a Georgia educator; Mrs. Amy Holland, formerly of Dexter, has spent the past four decades instructing students in Jones, Twiggs, Ben Hill, Walton, Baldwin, Bibb and Clarke counties. In Columbus, Georgia, his daughter Kim works as a nurse practitioner.
