Our attorneys assist families and individuals in planning for their needs as they age.  In addition to Estate Planning, discussed below, we counsel clients in ways that may help avoid the necessity for the appointment of guardians and conservators.  We generally recommend to all of our clients that they have prepared and execute Advanced Directives for Health Care to help assure that the wishes of our clients are followed whenever healthcare and end-of-life decisions must be made.  We often recommend that our clients have prepared and execute financial powers of attorney to assure that their property, finances, investments and income are properly managed by a trusted agent.  Whenever seeking the appointment of a guardian or conservator for a family member or other individual becomes necessary, our attorneys are experienced in the formal court procedures for such appointments.
